Floating candle bowls can be found in all shapes and sizes.  These bowls are used to create centerpieces for different events since they can be customized to fit the occasion.  In addition, once the materials have been purchased, they can be used again and again, only changing the objects that are used with the candles or the colors and shapes of candles that the individual desires.

Ideas

There are some floating candle bowls that are shaped just like a fish bowl.  These can be fun to use is a variety of different ways.  First, they can be used in the summertime to create a festive look for a beach party.  Seashells can litter the bottom of the bowl and also places on the tables to pull the entire look together.  The floating candles can be shaped in the form of fish, sea shells, star fish or other sea creatures so that each floating candle bowl looks like its own fish tank.  Some of these floating candle bowls are shaped like half of a coconut and are filled with a floating candle that looks like a mini-island.  These bowls can be placed on a little pile of sand to complete the look, with a little umbrella that is used in drinks propped up beside it.

Other floating candle bowls are in an hourglass shape, which creates a different look for the centerpiece.  One idea to use with this shape of floating candle bowl is to fill the bottom of it with colored glass pieces and then float glass bubbles in the water to add to the sparkle from the candle.  The candle can be plain, but it could also be a floating flower candle, in the color or theme of the event.  These flower shaped candles can be in a variety of different types of flowers, such as orchids, magnolias, and water lilies.

Floating candle bowls can also be made to create a festive look for the holiday seasons.  For instance, the bowl can be filled with cranberries and filled with water.  A white ribbon can be tied around the outside of the bowl and the candles that are floating within should also be white for a Christmassy look.  A great look for Thanksgiving can also use cranberries, but it can be surrounded by colored leaves rather than a ribbon, and the candles floating within can be shaped as leaves or a couple leaves and then round fall colored candles.

Fireplace Candle Holders – Adding Elegance

Last Updated on Wednesday, 15 July 2009 09:57 Written by admin Wednesday, 15 July 2009 09:57

When decorating a room, using a fireplace candle holders  can be a great way to add some elegance or a unique look to the design of the room.  Traditionally, candle holders are only used on shelves and tables to add the décor and fresh scent to the room with scented candles.  The fireplace candle holders and hanging candle holders add a unique touch to a room, hooking permanently to the fireplaces, and being made of all different materials to fit the fireplace color and room design.

Types of  Fireplace Candle Holders

One type of fireplace candle holder is made of wrought iron, so that it is a black metal color.  These can come in many different shapes and designs.  For instance, there are some that hold the candles in a glass container in the middle of the wrought iron design.  The glass container can be moved in and out of the holder so that the candle can be easily lit or changed when needed.  The wrought iron part of the holder is shaped into a scroll work that curls up above the candle holder and below it, so that the candle itself is enveloped in the scrolls.

Another type of fireplace candle holder is made of a painted wood design so that it can come in a variety of different colors to match the room.  The glass candle holders are also placed in the center of the design, but this time they are on a mini shelf.  The back of these fireplace candle holders is flat, so that it is a flat, smooth backing behind the shelf and glass candle holder which looks sleek and elegant for a more modern design.

Fireplace candle holders can also come in shapes that mimic other things in real life.  There is one fireplace candle holder that has a background of metal that is shaped into vines and flowers.  This looks very beautiful when it is lit up by the candles that sit in front of it on a mini shelf and are in a glass container for easy lighting and refilling.  Another example of this type of design is a metal fireplace candle holder that is shaped like a curling ‘S.’  The candle is placed in a glass container which sits on top of a stem that comes out of the curling bottom of the ‘S’ design.  These fireplace candle holders are sleek and are a wonderful way to accent any room.

Wrought Iron Candle Holders

Candle lovers everywhere have liked the tiny wax creations for many years, and recently, there were a number of advances to make candles even more specialised. as an example, aromatherapy gurus now use oils in their candles to give off pleasant scents and help fight bugs. You do not always need a specialised purpose in mind. Maybe you simply wish to make your room more lovely, and you can simply manage that by getting a wrought iron candle holder instead.

With such a holder, you’ll be able to place many different candles in it over its lifetime, and they are definitely a perfect decoration for rooms that don’t take up any additional space over the candles you have there anyhow. Having wrought iron candle holders sounds right from an only safety point of view. Candles on plates or other sorts of flat holders can be threatening, particularly with pets or little children.

Having a wrought iron candle holder with sides or completely enclosed holders can massively increase the protection of lighting and burning candles. Some holders are fully enclosed ,eg lantern type holders, while others are simply cylindrical, providing an outer wall around the candle to hold it prepared. Considering that candles melt and spill wax everywhere, these wrought iron candle holders can make burning candles a cleaner past-time too. The human mind is instinctively drawn to launch, even little ones found on candles.

Our ancestors survived because they were able to control fire, helping them to cook and stay warm in the cold months. As such, we find candles stunning. Though we do not use them as a first source of lighting ( except to complement rooms ) or to keep hot in winter, we find them beautiful, and they can make our houses smell great. If you need to be ready to view the flame in all of its beauty, think about going with a glass wrought iron candle holder so the fire is always plain.

You can regularly get the tiniest ones for as little as 5 bucks, with the most intricate and biggest presumably reaching 30 greenbacks or so. Available in masses of stores and online, there are thousands of styles and designs to select from, so you can easily find some that slot in your house. Some are free standing on the floor, while others are designed to be put on tables or shelves. Others yet can be hung from the wall, so literally anywhere in your home is the best place for a candle.
